He gives and takes away.....?

Sometimes we Christians can be extreamely unmature when it comes to the Word of God.
Yes, I do believe the Bible to be without false and to be fullt true - still not everything in the Bible is true!

The stories we have in the Bible is the stories God want us to have; and they are true stories. Still, some of the words From the stories is spoken by men, and even sometimes by the devil, and that's lies!
Genesis 3:4 - "The serpant Said: Surely you wont die!" = A lie!
2 Kings 5:21-22 = A lie!
Mark 14:71 = A lie!

A few years ago a famous and anointed worship leader wrote a song that has become extreamely popular. The song is great in every way, and speaks about blessing God in all circumstances in life - great!
But then, in the end of the song, the lyrics says over and over again: "You give and take away, you give and take away, but My heart Will choose to say: blessed be your name!"
That My friends, is a big, fat ugly lie!

Some might say: but that's a quote from the Bible Daniel!
Yes, it is - but still it is a lie!

The quote is from the first chapter in Book of Job in the Old Testament. The problem: if you read the whole two first chapters you Will see that God didn't take anything away - it was the devil that killed and stole it all!
Job has to work on his attitude in the entire book, and in chapter 42, after God has spoken to him, he takes it all back!!

In other words: in the worship song, with closed eyes and with our hands lifted high, we accuse God for something the devil did! We are calling God a slaughter, a thief and a murdurer....

I know the intention From the song writer was the best, and I know it just lack of knowledge... Still My heart aches everytime I hear this song, and I believe God feels the same....

The sum of the Bible: God is good, nothing but good and good again! He gives and gives again, he gives and gives again....

Let us sing worship songs that speaks about that kind of truths instead!
Bless u!

Come and pray!

I'm up early every morning her in Pittsburgh praying. It is wonderful to worship Jesus early in the morning all alone with a broken morning voice... Love it! It is refreshing to read a word or a few chapters from the Bible and just let the words work on your heart. Wish u all could come here and pray with me tomorrow morning.

Every second day I'm also leading Prayer School before I start teaching. 75 minutes of worship and prayer together with 18 hungry students. Wow!
It is always powerful to pray together.

Wish I could be in Stockholm friday night when SOS Church gathers to pray! Johannes Amritzer will lead our Church in prayer from 10pm-2am. Always powerful nights!
If u are around, don't miss it!
You don't have to be a member of our Church to join - just come and search God and pray for Stockholm!

Too late!

"Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there."
Gen 11:31

Many times we hear Christians saying that God will always give them another chans and that He always will let you try again. I'm sorry to say, but that's not fully biblical!
Sure, he is a forgiving Father who will forgive you when you fail him. But reading the text above we find something else as well.

Terah was called by God to go from Ur to Canaan! God called him to a place approx 875k (540 miles) away. God called him to give him this land and to make him a great people! God called him out on an adventure that would not only affect his own life, but bless all people groups on the earth! God planned to save the world from his offspring. Wow, what a calling!

And Terah obeyed! He started off well! He took his closest family and walked away. He choose the best and safest way by following Euphrates shore. But something happend on the way...
Terah never made it to Canaan. And he never made it to his destiny...

When he reached Haran he got tired. He probably said that they would just take a short break. He said they would rest for a week or two before they continued. But the weeks became months and months years...
Terah keept saying they would continue. First, he just had too....

Terah settled in Haran. He found this to be a good place; he got stuck in his comfort zone...
Terah continued to tell people around him about the great calling and promise God had given him. He keept telling everyone how special he and his family must be. He said that they soon would reach their destiny.

But one day it was too late...
One day Terah died.

All the wonderful and exciting things God had planned for never happend. Because Terah stoped.
Instead God had to call another man, and his name was Abram...

I don't know what God called you specificly to do; but I know that He's counting on you! Maybe you have a hughe talent, or a massive call from Him.
Maybe you even started off good. But in the long run it's not the start that is counted, but the finish...

I just want to say: Don't waste it! Don't believe you have all the time in the world! Don't get stuck in a comfortable place, in your comfort zone. One day it may be too late, and you missed your destiny...

"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Mat 28:18-20

42.194988 kilometers

Or in other words: 26.21875 miles

Yes, together with approx 20 000 others I will run May 28th in Stockholm again.
I was a little worried a few weeks ago, in the middle of all my travels this spring, if I would ever be able to get in shape for a new Marathon. Now, after 3 weeks of active training I'm excited again!

It is a priceless feeling to have the strenght and to be able to finish after 42k... I'm longing already! This is how my right foot looked like two days after my first Marathon last year. Will probably happen again:)

Best poetry I've ever heard!

A new episode of God's Adventurers?

People have asked me lately when the next season of God's Adventurers will be out. Makes me happy! That means you guys like it!

Unfortunately it wont be any new episodes this spring. Believe it or not, but the TV-crew in Mission SOS is still a small group with only three people in it. (Can u imagine the quality they give with only three people?! wow!)
This spring a lot of things had to be produced before we could record any new episodes of God's Adventurers (festivals in Pakistan, trailers, SOS Church-things, etc), so in the end there was no time over for the staff to put on our TV-show.

It is sad, I know, but I believe we will be back soon anyway! Maybe God will call some of you guys to come and work with us producing exciting and important TV in the future?

Please continue to let us know what you thought about our last season with God's Adventurers, and if you think we should continue. The more people asking for a new episode, the higher it will be on the priority list!

Feel free to enjoy the last season over and over again til we record again! (One of my personal favourites is episode six down here!)

What the Church can learn from Google

Can't stop thinking of Google since I read the book I wrote about here.
Been thinking the last few days about what they do so good, that we as a Church should learn from them.

This is just a few random thoughts.

- Don't be evil!

This statement has become the informal corporate motto, or slogan, of Google. They basically tries to follow this in everything they do. Don't charge to much money; let all we create be to the benefit of the world; help and believe in people etc.
As a Church this should be the foundation for everything we do. Unfortunately many Christians still live more selfish than they should, thinking more of themselfes than on others. To create a Church that impacts a city, there can be no hidden agenda or hidden motives; just pure compassion and love!
In other words: Be like Jesus!- Nothing is impossible!

In the enterance to the huge Google-complex outside San Fransisco there is a big whiteboard. All employers are asked to write down all the crazy ideas they have on this board. Many of the most crazy and impossible ideas was born on this board! And when they get the idea, they simpely says: Lets do it!
Now, we have the All mighty God in the equation! We should say this more often than Google: Nothing is impossible!
In other words: Be like Jesus!- Be Creative!

The office in San Fransisco is a place that invite creative ideas. Together with the motto Nothing is impossible no creative idea is looked down at, but all kind of creativity is invited.
A creative Church is a living Church! A creative Church makes Jesus visible in both words, music, pictures and emotions. Don't call yourself a non-creative person - you are created in the likeness of the Creator Himself - the most Creative Person ever excisted!
In other words: Be like Jesus!- To be the best is not a goal, it is the starting-point!

Google doesn'task their staff to become the best. They take it for granted!
As a Christian with God on your side, you shouldn't look down on yourself, and you shouldn't be satisfied with mediocrity! You are the head, not the tail! You are above, not under! You are blessed, not cursed! Dream big, and become more than people expect you to be. God believes in you!
In other words: Be like Jesus!

- Believe in people!

Google is the no 1 company in the world where well educated people would like to work....and there is a reason for that! They take care of their people and believe in them! They invest in them, challange them and help them to advance!
The Church can't take its people for granted, but take care of them, invest in them, challange them and believe in them as well!
To serve Jesus is not just a sacrifice, but to have the best Employer in the world!
In other words: Be like Jesus!
