Prayer night!

Tomorrow I'm praying together with my Church and everyone that want to join us for a few hours.
We will pray for our city, for unreached people groups, for our nation, for our neighbors and for a lot of other things.

We will also take A LOT of time to praise and worship our Master and King together!

Please, take a power nap at the afternoon and come and join us ten pm in SOS Church at Stadshagen, Stockholm. We will pray until 2am.

Will be Wonderful!

C u!

Heart and motive

The semester and School year is going to an end. Next week is the Easter break, and then one week of School, 1,5 week of Mission Practice and then 2,5 weeks left of School before graduation....amazing how fast a year can be!

Now, in the end of the year we choose to talk and teach about things that is really vital in the long run. I mean, when August comes, it doesn't really matter if a student have had straight A's at all the test, been in School every day, and successful in everything - don't misunderstand me; all of this is extremely important things, but it won't keep you strong. No, it is all about The heart, and relationship with God, and discipline, and focus, and your motives....

Right now I'm spending some days with the Leader School students (amazing as usual!) and we are focusing motive and heart.
Does it really matter if you are working like crazy, achieving a lot of things, but the motives of your heart is not in line with God's heart?
Really good talks and tears together, and a knife in our hearts...

I'm dreaming about a transformed Stockholm; about a Mega Church Down Town; about hundreds of students in our Bible Schools; the 6 500 unreached people groups reached and millions saved! Why?
Is it because I want the name Elvelyck or SOS to be lifted high and shine?
No....

From the bottom of my heart:

Because Jesus asked me! And because I love Him! And because my heart hurts when I see the lost in Stockholm and among the unreached....

One day we will all be judged according to our words and motives.
Judge yourself today, and the judgement will be so much better....

So, maybe you will be sitting around that table at our Leader School next year, with tears in your eyes and a burning passion for Jesus in your heart, saying: Use me, send me, search my heart...not my will, but Yours...

You are welcome for your next step! Apply already today....

I'm thirsty...

God became man.
He left his riches and his glory and was born as a naked child. He left his power and majesty and came to walk in the dust with you and me. Jesus gave us a way back to God when he pointed beyond religion and carrier.
And Jesus gave his life, not because you or me deserved his help, but because he was thirsty...

Hanging on the cross, easter 2 000 y ago, he said: I'm thirsty!

He was not thirsty for water or wine, but his inner most desire cried out. The love and force in him that took him all the way to the cross. The desire that glared everything else in his life and made him give his own life; that made him accept nails through his hands and feet; that made him welcome the whiplash on his back without a word; the thirst that drove him to death....

That thirst, that desire deep inside of him, stronger then anything else, was a thirst and desire for....you....

Tomorrow I'll speak about thirst in SOS Church, 4pm.... see you!

To be led by the Spirit

I meet so many Christians that are longing to be led by the Spirit - and that's a great thing, we are created to be led by Him!
The problem is that many only want to be led in the BIG decisions in life, and are ignoring the every day life with the Spirit.

As a traveling preacher I meet so many of them, coming to the front in the altar call, asking for prayers to be able to be led by God..."Should I marry him?" "should I move there?" Big things! I'm sorry, but I rather put my hand on them, singing "twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder where you are..." That will help as much as a prayer!
You can not read in the Bible that we should pray for one another to be led by God, BUT that the Holy Spirit will witness to your spirit leading you DAILY!

The Christians that are ignoring the every day correction and leading will not be able to be led the day the big decision arrives. So, we don't need more prayer about this, but more TEACHING and OBEYING!
The voice that will lead you is the same voice that will correct you....

If you are interested to know more about to be led by God, follow my blog and I will continue to write and post on this subject.

First, what I want to mention today: God doesn't led you through open and closed doors!
Yes, God can open a door for you, but this is not how he will lead you!

When I walk from my office to the subway, I don't have to enter all the open doors on the way there. In that case I would never make my way home!
So, only because a door is open, it doesn't mean you as a Christian must walk into it. It might as much be a distraction or temptation for you to miss Gods plan. Follow your inner voice instead.

And the opposite: If Stephanie sends me to the grocery store to shop, I won't be standing outside the door waiting for it to open up before I can enter and do what Stephanie asked me to do. I will walk on, and OPEN THE DOOR!

If God said something and called you somewhere; don't wait for an open door - just go and the door will open. (or you kick it in, or enter thru the window!:)

God will never give you all the information about everything before you can go there. He want you to obey the calling, and trust Him.
So don't let open or closed doors lead you - walk in your spirit!

To be continued....

Where it all started

This weekend I've been speaking at the Alliance Church in Svenstorp, south Sweden. This is the church where I first heard about Jesus, and where I finally gave my life to Him. So, do I have to tell you I was both excited and nervous of coming back to this place...

So many memories came back to me when I entered the Church this Friday. The Church is located just 400 meters from the house where I grew up, so it's been both relaxing and joyful to meet people and see places that meant so much to me.

I was a part of this Church for five years, between the age of 15 and 20. In this period of time I was saved, baptized in the Spirit, baptized in water, a leader and teacher of the Sunday school, a leader for the scouts, a part of the youth choir, a worship leader, a leader for a kids choir, a board member, in a group renovating the church, in a prayer team, in the sports team, in the youth group and helping out in the services.
All this is a powerful thing in a small church on the country side: You HAVE to get involved in a lot of different things to make it all work!

When I entered the Church this Friday I met around 30 new faces of teenagers I didn't recognize. The Church is still alive and kicking - wonderful!

So, how did the weekend go?
Well, I prayed with one teenage boy to salvation! Only one??
Yes, only one! Doing that I remembered the night I was saved in the same Church: that night we were ONLY two receiving salvation... And a LOT of powerful things have happened through these two guys since then...

C ya!
